Mandy Chambers, from Chesterfield, has led the ‘Batch Cook’ programme in Derbyshire which distributed more than 160,000 cooked meals to people in need during the pandemic. She’s been nominated as a local community hero by our Christmas charity partner Feeding Britain, for her hard work and dedication over the past 18 months. It was lovely to spoil Mandy and her family and friends!

Feeding Britain's National Director, Andrew Forsey said “There were so many people who could be nominated, but Mandy’s contributions since the start of the pandemic have been crucial and this nomination reflects that”.
To celebrate her nomination, Mandy was surprised to find family and colleagues clapping for her when she arrived at Prezzo Islington. Mandy and her friends & family were celebrated by Prezzo and Feeding Britain and have enjoyed a lovely Italian lunch and stayed in the Prezzo restaurant into the afternoon.
