Raising money for Ukraine

We are thrilled to announce that Prezzo donated over £100,000 for World Central Kitchen. Through our initiative, donating £1 from every Margherita pizza and Penne Arrabbiata sold, we raised over £100,000 to support their noble cause.

World Central Kitchen is a remarkable non-profit organisation dedicated to providing nourishing meals during times of humanitarian crises. In the face of Ukraine's ongoing crisis, they have been working tirelessly to distribute essential meals to those affected, including Ukrainian citizens displaced from their homes and refugees seeking shelter in neighbouring countries.

With the generous contributions from our customers and our commitment to giving back, we are proud to have played a part in enabling World Central Kitchen to serve over 9 million meals to those impacted by the crisis in Ukraine. Our heart goes out to all those affected by this ongoing crisis, and we hope in some small way that this helps.

Slice by slice, we're making a difference!

We are delighted to share that your support has enabled us to raise an impressive £29,000 for the Feeding Britain charity.

Prezzo donated £1.00 to Feeding Britain charity for every Gorgonzola & Prosciutto pizza sold over the Christmas period! We also had the ‘Community Coffee’ initiative, customers were able to donate the cost of an espresso coffee in any Prezzo restaurant, the proceed from the extra invisible espresso went to Feeding Britain to support those who need it the most.

On behalf of Prezzo and Feeding Britain, we extend our sincerest gratitude to you for standing with us in making a difference. Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of those in need during this period.

Your generosity has allowed us to raise a total of £29,000, providing vital support to individuals and families in our communities. Your contribution is deeply appreciated, and we are grateful for your compassion and dedication to helping others.

Feeding Britain - Mandy Chambers

Mandy Chambers, from Chesterfield, has led the ‘Batch Cook’ programme in Derbyshire which distributed more than 160,000 cooked meals to people in need during the pandemic. She’s been nominated as a local community hero by our Christmas charity partner Feeding Britain, for her hard work and dedication over the past 18 months. It was lovely to spoil Mandy and her family and friends!

To celebrate her nomination, Mandy was surprised to find family and colleagues clapping for her when she arrived at Prezzo Islington. Mandy and her friends & family were celebrated by Prezzo and Feeding Britain and have enjoyed a lovely Italian lunch and stayed in the Prezzo restaurant into the afternoon.

“There were so many people who could be nominated, but Mandy’s contributions since the start of the pandemic have been crucial and this nomination reflects that" - Feeding Britain's National Director, Andrew Forsey
Supporting your local community

We're helping to share a bit of joy

Our focus in 2021 was to assist numerous underprivileged individuals by raising funds in support of the Feeding Britain Charity. We aimed to make a positive impact on the lives of those facing food insecurity and other challenges.

In 2020, as part of our partnership with the Global Make Some Noise charity, we directed our efforts towards generating £7,500 to benefit smaller local charities across the UK during the Christmas season. Your support helped us provide crucial aid to those organisations, contributing to the well-being of communities nationwide.

During the Christmas season of 2019, our collaboration with the Re-engage charity enabled us to raise an impressive £50,000. This substantial amount played a crucial role in ensuring that no elderly person spent Christmas alone, bringing warmth and companionship to those who needed it most.
